Flawless Pizza in Kadıköy :)

When you think of Istanbul, you usually imagine its historical fabric, the aromas of spices, and the silhouette of minarets against the Bosphorus. However, as an experienced traveler knows, the soul of a city lies not only in its historical landmarks but also in its modern and unexpected corners; for instance, finding a piece of Naples in the heart of Kadıköy.
Flawless Pizza in Kadıköy :)

The Soul of Kadıköy

If the "Historic Peninsula" is the heart of Istanbul, Kadıköy is the city's creative pulse. Taking a Bosphorus ferry to get to the city; watching the changing silhouette accompanied by the sound of seagulls, is an essential part of the Kadıköy experience. As you disembark and walk through the historic fish market, you instantly feel the change: This is where the city's creative youth, artists, and locals come together. Kadıköy is a perfect discovery area for those who want to see the "real" Istanbul beyond tourist guides.

Culinary Discovery: Porto Napoli

As you wander through Kadıköy's winding streets, where you can stumble upon a new street art piece or a cozy bookstore, I came across Porto Napoli Pizza. In a city where kebabs and mezes are so rich, it takes courage to perfect a Neapolitan-style pizza. However, this place achieves it with an undeniable reality.

Is it my personal favorite? Absolutely, the three-mushroom pizza. The combination of earthy flavors with perfectly cooked, light dough is truly unbeatable.

A Few Facts to Mention

If I'm being transparent about the experience, there are two points to keep in mind:

1. Waiting in Line: Since the place is loved by locals, there's usually a short queue at the door. Be prepared to wait a bit; you can even check out the nearby street performers or examine the surrounding street art while you wait. It's definitely worth the wait.

2. Atmosphere: Inside, it can get quite hot, especially during peak hours. This is not a long, cool escape but a high-energy, intimate spot.

Why Local Gems Matter

Travel is about balance. Spending your morning diving into Byzantine history and crowning your afternoon with perfect pizza among locals... This is the core philosophy behind every route I design.
